My new studio is finally taking shape. Trying to squeeze all my type in is proving to be a bit tricky.

Luckily this batch has survived the move.

My book for wlyb 2016 exhibition on theme of dot dash is in progress. The prints are somewhere in a shipping container… So it isn’t quite finished yet!

A highlight is that I have been doing some very large letterpress prints for our next wlyb exhibition on the theme of intersect.

Well…
Have been on an enamelling course which was great fun. Here is a pic of the glass grinding stage

I have admired some amazingly intricate weaving by my daughter. It was exhibited in an old mill in Stanley, north of Perth, Scotland.

And… The allotment has been temporarily completely tamed. There is even produce growing in the raised beds and fruit bushes and trees in blossom.

Finally the last bit of the allotment is being tackled ready for the last raised bed!

The onions and garlic are sprouting well.

Just treated myself to a new printing press after many years of
thinking about it! A lovely piece of kit that runs like a dream.

Just making up some new collagraph plates to try out in it. Still many layers of PVA to add and lots of drying in between!

Went on a great silk collagraph course at Leicester Print Workshop led by Sue Brown. So nice to be taught something rather than doing the teaching!

Was looking for some fluid type for the Ebb & Flow bookmaking brief. Found some on eBay. Can’t wait to start printing!

I have also been taught how to cast pewter by a friend. It was great fun especially as it involved sawing and drilling to finish things off!
