These books were created during the duration of the PhD. Many of them were for exhibitions run by we love your books.
I am the co-founder and co-curator of we love your books. Myself and book artist Melanie Bush established wlyb in 2005 with the launch of our first open experimental books exhibition – Meeting in The Middle. We ran a themed exhibition each year over 2005–2018.

I finished my Phd and got closure by shredding it! Each chapter is layered in the jar starting with the introduction at the base. There are subtle visual changes as each chapter has a different ratio of type to image.

A chance find of hundreds of defunct photocopy cards in a University skip led to the creation of 2 circular structures. The colours and patterns are created from the initial printing of the photocopy cards that had extended onto the edges. En masse these tiny bits of print make a distinctive pattern.

This book was losely based on the game rock/paper/scissors. The paper in the centre compartment is wrapping a stone that was found on a walk. Different stones that were also collected on the walk were recorded in the 2 small booklets.
